Midterm Review

Homework Assignment

Welcome to Math 9B.

The summer is over. No more boring time that you have to spent on the
beach. For the next ten weeks you can enjoy
the pleasures of Calculus.

We will cover the definite integral and the Fundamental theorem of Calculus. We will introduce
the exponential and logarithmic functions, learn standard techniques of integration and L'Hospital's
rule. We will put some efforts into applications to geometry and also physics.

It is highly recommended that you browse over the Math 9A material (chapter 1-3 and the other
parts of chapter 4).

Here are the rules of the Game:

It is normal to have problems with calculus, in particular at the beginning. You are
highly encouraged to come to my office hours, to the office hours of your TA, pose
questions in class and in the discussion sections (or by email) and to discuss the
material with other students.
