 Homework Assignment

Review Midterm

Welcome to Math 9A.

The summer is over. No more boring time that you have to spent on the
beach. For the next ten weeks you can enjoy
the pleasures of Calculus.

We will cover the topics: Limits and continuity, differentiation, maxima and minima,
applications to other subjects and indefinite integrals, i.e. chapters 1 - 3 with some
omissions and parts of chapter 4.

It is highly recommended that you review pre-calculus, in particular: TRIGONOMETRY.

Here are the rules of the Game:

It is normal to have problems with calculus, in particular at the beginning. You are
highly encouraged to come to my office hours, to the office hours of your TA, pose
questions in class and in the discussion sections (or by email) and to discuss the
material with other students.
