Just checking in with road info.

The road south is being repaired, slowly ... chip and seal. The crew has gotten about 17 miles south of San Felipe. Still about 2 hours. It's really hard on trailers and campers.

South of Puertecitos about the same. Probably an easier drive than the "pavement." Residents south are making the drive in small pick-ups without 4WD.

Weather was very warm over the weekend. Lots of wind the week before. There's a new place to eat in Puertecitos .... ask for directions at the CONASUPO just as you get in to town.

BANCOMER has some new policies regarding checks, etc.. Unless you have an account there you may not be able to cash a check

Some reports of people being charged a fee at the border ... nothing confirmed. I'm still researching the $45 fee for private planes.

Safe journey ......
